Graham Watson - UKIP claims far from the Truth

Liberal Democrat MEP Graham Watson hits out at UKIP claims that the South West's Post Offices are closing due to European Union Directives which in fact ensures a high quality universal service for all.

Graham Watson commented;

"Post Offices are a vital lifeline to our communities and we Liberal Democrats are busy campaigning across the Westcountry to keep them open. UKIP have been busy putting out typical anti-Europe propaganda proclaiming the 'truth about Post Office closures' - but their message as usual, is far from the truth!

They conveniently forget to mention that the European Commission has confirmed that our Post Offices are a genuine public service, and that financial assistance can continue into the future. Unlike the UKIP and the other parties, we Liberal Democrats are the only party to have costed plans for a successful, viable and flourishing post office network."
