Year 10 pupils at Pilton Community College will find out if they have got what it takes to be an MEP on Thursday (4 March), when Lib Dem Euro-MP Graham Watson leads an "Inspire Workshop" at the school.

A whole series of workshops have been held since September, and it is hoped that mentors will encourage the students to aim high and achieve their full potential.

Watson is a trained interpreter, speaking four languages, and led the trans-national Liberal Group in the European Parliament for seven and a half years.

Looking forward to the event he commented;

"With hard work and open minds, these pupils can go wherever they want to go, and be whoever they want to be.

"I'm not sure how many will have a burning desire to be a politician, but the world is truly their oyster! I hope to get this message across."
